What I am getting into now?

My youngest daughter is getting married. She wanted a custom made dress that is vintage looking. So of course I stepped in to take care of that. After all I've been sewing since I was about 12 yrs old.

Not only did I adapt the pattern she chose to fit her very petite frame, but I also created a vintage tea hat for her veil. Plus made all the vintage bridesmaids dresses and their fascinator hats.

And all of this was planned and finished before the Royal wedding made it all popular!

What has emerged is my old love for vintage / retro hats. And I decided to re visit the art of millinery or hat making. I hat done it a bit years ago for my kid's costumes for plays and Halloween.

I will make a long story short by telling you that I have had soooo much fun, that now I am selling these items on Etsy. I am keeping them affordable in this bad economy. That way you ladies can have the fun looks without a guilty conscience.

So if you have a wedding or fancy hat worthy event to go to this year, follow the link in the title. Or follow it here for a bit of fun and if you buy something, that's even better.
